Admissions

Children are admitted to Flagg from the age of 2½ using the Ofsted registered Little Links childcare, or from 3 for free taster sessions.1 session = 2½ hrs = a morning or afternoon. Breakfast Club and lunchtime Tractor Club or additional paid sessions, are provided as part of our extended services to parents. Priority of admission is given to children as stated in the Local Authority Admissions Criteria. Our Disability Equality Scheme sets out how the Governing Body promotes and meets its duties to ensure equality of opportunity for anyone with accessiblity issues (pupils, staff, parents, carers, community users). Please contact the Headteacher to dicuss any specific admission needs.

Settling In To Nursery

Starting nursery school is a big step for your child and for yourself. All children are different and will settle in their own way. We'll discuss how best to do this in partnership with you. A child who is encouraged to settle happily will gain immensely in confidence and develop a positive attitude to school. During the half term before your child starts nursery, there will be opportunities to visit, or as soon as your child is 3 they may come for 'taster sessions'. Due to this staggered entry we are normally happy for you to leave your child with us for their first sessions, as we are able to offer them individual support, or you may wish to support them by staying. We are, however, flexible to what is appropriate for you and your child so please chat to the Headteacher, Mrs Sinclair-Evans about it. We are also happy to visit you at home if you prefer. Please contact us to arrange visits.
